The tool that community may use to disrupt order in society is religion it could also serve as a reason for violence. Religious people have tried from long ago to legalise violence in the name of God. It is on this reason that the current behaviour of violence such as terrorist attacks as represented by Boko Haram in Nigeria are usually justified as ”holy war”. In the past twenty years , Nigeria had experienced occurrences of tensions violence and killing between Christians and Muslims. These violent conflicts are connected with the complicated nature of interreligious and intercultural relationship that exists in the country. The principal reason for the violent clash is due to either lack of understanding of the various religious faith. Nigerian regions has been faith oriented and anchored on religious indoctrination and dogma.
